IMPORTANT - Arizona law requires that students who are seeking consideration for in-state tuition status or aid, that is funded in part or in whole by state money, to provide verification of citizenship, permanent residency or other lawful immigration status. Acceptable documents are U.S. birth certificate, U..S passport, AZ drivers license or AZ ID card. For a complete list of acceptable documents go to www.maricopa.edu/residency.
It’s not an admissions test, but a way to assess what Reading, English, and Math courses are right for you as you begin college. A photo ID is required for all testing. Study guides are online at www.paradisevalley.edu/assessment/. The Testing Center is located in the KSC Building, 2nd floor. Testing is done on a walk-in basis. Call for specific hours, (602) 787-7050.
To apply for financial aid or scholarships, visit the Financial Aid website at www.paradisevalley.edu/finaid/ or the Financial Aid Office, Welcome Center (KSC Building), 602-787-7100. Apply early and be aware of important deadlines.
Log in to your college email account using your MEID and password at: www.maricopa.edu/google. This link to email is also available at www.paradisevalley.edu. All students will receive official communications about enrollment, financial aid, and other important deadlines.
Take a free career assessment through Career Services to further develop awareness of your interests, skills, and values. Make an appointment with a Counselor to interpret your results and to explore college majors and occupations. Located in the KSC building, first floor. New Student Orientation is designed to help you: be successful in college, meet other students as well as faculty and staff, participate in a campus tour, and more. Academic Advisors will assist you with planning for your future and choosing your classes. They will advise you concerning certificate and degree options, placement test interpretation and course descriptions. Advisement is located in the Welcome Center (KSC Building). Get your free student photo I.D. card, required for all students, at the Student Life Office in the Kranitz Student Center, 1st floor. Parking permits are available in the Welcome Center at the Kranitz Student Center.
You’ll learn strategies for achieving your goals in college and in life including: Preparation for college work, increasing motivation and confidence, decreasing procrastination and stress, note taking and time management. You will register for College Success Course (AAA115 or CPD 150) during your Advising session.
Join clubs and organizations to meet people. Visit Student Life and Leadership, KSC Building for available clubs on campus.
