Women’s Soccer beat Gateway and South Mountain with strong performances and multiple goals last week. On September 12 the Pumas traveled to Chandler-Gilbert to take on GWCC in an evening match up. Five different student-athletes scored as the Pumas defeated the Geckos 5-1.
With a rain out at Yavapai on September 7, Men’s Soccer was forced to play a rare three games in five days this week. The Pumas traveled back up to Yavapai on September 10 for the make-up game. Yavapai was the fifth nationally ranked program that PVCC faced during non-conference play. The Pumas kept the game close, only down 0-1 at the half, but eventually fell 0-4.

Puma Baseball alum Josh Rojas (2013-2015), who was most recently with the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, was called up to the big league club today. He will start in left field tonight for the Diamondbacks wearing No. 9 in his Major League debut. The team is currently in Colorado facing the Rockies.
