The PVCC community is invited to a special reception on August 28, 2024, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at the Center for Performing Arts. This gathering will offer an opportunity to reflect on Fritz’s incredible talent, her passion for art, and the meaningful connections she forged with those around her.
Alexis Fritz was an alumna of PVCC, having earned her Associate’s Degree in Fine Arts in 2021, where she first discovered her passion for working with clay. She continued her studies at Arizona State University, earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics in 2023. In February 2024, Fritz returned to PVCC as a guest artist, sharing her innovative approach to using artificial intelligence (AI) in art. She captivated audiences with her process of using Midjourney to generate images based on her underwater photography, which inspired her ceramic sculptures.
Fritz’s contributions to the PVCC community and the art world will be remembered fondly, as she left a lasting impact through her creativity and kindness.
