Digital Art & Chinese Calligraphy

From Oracle Bone pictographs to contemporary Chinese calligraphy, this presentation showcases the evolution of Chinese calligraphy, enriched by student-created computer animations. It will explore the historical development of key characters, highlighting their transformations across different styles and the cultural and linguistic meanings embedded within them.

In addition to the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on calligraphy practice using traditional materials such as rice paper, brushes, and ink. The experience will be further enhanced with visuals, animations, and video clips, offering an immersive and dynamic learning experience.
