Empty Bowls Charity Event

Empty Bowls Charity Event

Empty Bowls is a charity event that raises awareness of food insecurity in our community and our campus. It also raises money for the Puma Pantry, which provides food for students suffering from food insecurity.

On October 15, 2024, World Hunger Day, PVCC Fine & Performing Arts Division, along with the Social Sciences Division, will host this event outside of the lobby of the Center for Performing Arts from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. There will be handmade ceramic bowls made by PVCC students and faculty.

Soup will be served by Amici Catering. There will be live music in the amphitheater and art displays in the lobby. PVCC faculty will present on our campus about food insecurity, the history of the Empty Bowls project, and the STEAM committee. The public is invited.
