You're almost to the finish line, so the No. 1 thing you can do to be successful during finals week is to create a schedule. Everything will fall into place with a solid, prioritized schedule, which eliminates unnecessary time suckage and keeps you focused on the task at hand.
- Don’t Procrastinate
Cramming for your final exams at the last minute is a recipe for disaster. Digesting information a little bit at a time, taking regular breaks, and then reviewing again will make you more confident and prepared. - Put your phone away
Scrolling endlessly on your phone not only is a waste of time, but a waste of energy. Use that extra time to take a walk, do a few breathing exercises, or grab a healthy snack. - Grab a study partner or group
Reviewing materials with others can help you stay focused on the task at hand and reiterating information with others also helps you retain it better. - Take care of your body
Getting enough sleep and exercise, as well as fueling your body with healthy foods all translate to better study habits.
Don’t forget, Paradise Valley Community College offers free tutoring and if you need help or have a question, speak up, approach your instructors; they’re rooting for your success.
