Congratulations to PVCC’s Athletics Director Christina Hundley, who was recently named to the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Executive Committee. The committee, consisting of representatives from all intercollegiate ranks, oversees the association and works to provide educational opportunities for those in the field of athletics administration.
Elected as third vice president of the National Association of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA), Hundley was appointed to the NACDA committee and will serve a four-year term, starting in June, as one of three community college representatives on the national committee. The NACDA is the largest association of collegiate athletics administrators with more than 15,000 individual members and 1,700 institutions throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
“It has been an honor and a privilege serving on the NATYCAA Executive Committee and I am excited to take on this new and important role,” Hundley said. “I look forward to working closely with our four-year colleagues and to be afforded the opportunity to continue to learn and grow with this remarkable organization.”
Hundley has been with PVCC since 2008, first as Assistant Athletics Director/Coordinator of Student-Athlete Services, and took on her current role as AD in 2015. In addition, Hundley serves as NJCAA Region I Assistant Men’s Region Director and the MCCCD District Athletics Council President Elect. She studied Journalism and Public Relations at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications and worked for Sun Devil Athletics while there.
