Hanako Yotsubashi is a first year student majoring in philosophy and will represent her fellow Pumas as one of Spring 2022’s Marketing student ambassadors. Yotsubashi lends a special student perspective, having attended Arizona State University in 2016, after which she took a break before re-enrolling in Maricopa County Community College District in January 2022. She has taken classes at PVCC’s sister schools Glendale Community College and Estrella Mountain, and is looking forward to showing her Puma pride.
“I am excited to share my unique perspective and knowledge about the college experience, whilst being new to the PVCC experience specifically,” said Yotsubashi. “I want to forge strong connections with other PVCC students and utilize all the valuable resources I gain here to complete my degree.”
Yotsubashi worked in Student Housing at ASU and was heavily involved in student life, becoming a residential advisor and working with the program TRIO: Upward Bound, designed to help high school students who are disadvantaged and/or potential first generation college students achieve their higher education goals. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to and creating playlists for friends and events, as well as playing Minecraft.
