PVCC Students Set Record in Artists of Promise Visual Arts Competition

Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) is thrilled to announce that 20 of its students have been selected for the Artists of Promise Visual Arts Competition, marking the highest number of accepted works from PVCC students since the competition began.

“This milestone highlights the exceptional talent and dedication of PVCC’s student artists and is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the amazing works created by our students,” said David Bradley, Fine Arts faculty at PVCC. “Our Fine Arts faculty are very proud of them and of how hard they work to perfect the techniques and methods we share with them. Art is vitally important because it is the language of our culture. By learning how to express their creativity, our students help the rest of our society to embrace the future.”

The Artists of Promise Visual Arts Exhibition will kick off with a reception on February 26 from 6-7 p.m. at the Mesa Community College Art Gallery, followed by the Artists of Promise Gala event in the theatre from 7-9 p.m. The gala will celebrate not only the visual arts but also excellence in music, theatre, dance, and creative writing. The exhibition will be on display from February 26 to March 6, featuring 80 selected works from a highly competitive pool of 226 submissions by 75 student artists.

The Artists of Promise competition has been a cornerstone of the Maricopa Community College District’s commitment to fostering creative expression for over two decades. It provides emerging student artists with a platform to gain recognition, exhibit their work, and connect with a broader artistic community.

PVCC is proud to see such strong representation in this year’s event, a testament to the dedication and creativity of our students and faculty. We encourage everyone to attend and support these talented individuals as they share their incredible work with the community.
