Thomas O. McLaughlin Scholarship
The $100,000 scholarship endowment established in 1987, commemorates educator, business executive and Rhodes scholar, Thomas 0. McLaughlin (1895-1986). A native of Windriver, Wyoming, he was educated at the University of Edinburgh and Oxford University. He joined the Chevrolet Motors Division of General Motors in 1924. In 1938, he became director of Chevrolet's PostÂgraduate School of Modem Merchandising and Management, a position he held until retirement. He maintained homes in both Detroit and Phoenix until his passing in 1986.
