Mission/Goals

The purpose of the Alumni Executive Council (AEC) is to create a “Puma for Life” tradition at PVCC that keeps alumni connected to the College.

  1. Build the alumni network through support of alumni engagement programming;
  2. Generate funding for student scholarships and academic programs; 
  3. Enhance our student experience through mentoring, interviewing, and hiring graduates; and
  4. Recruit exceptional students in conjunction with our admissions team.

Objectives

Provide insights and perspectives toward the elevation of alumni engagement and philanthropy at PVCC. The AEC works in collaboration with the Office of Strategic Partnerships, faculty, staff, and students on important initiatives including advancing the college’s mission, objectives and programs.

Council Member Expectations

  1. Attend and/or participate in two meetings annually (either in-person or virtually)
  2. Support and attend two Alumni engagement events annually
  3. Each AEC member is invited to give back to our students in one or more of the following ways:
    1. $200 financial donation in support of student scholarships (strongly encouraged),
    2. Volunteer 6 hours/year in sharing expertise with students and/or employees, and
    3. Explore mentorship and internship opportunities for students within your organization

Meeting Schedule

Three AEC meetings a year (day of week and time of day TBD based on what is best for the majority of members)

Volunteer Opportunities

We hope that you will join us for upcoming volunteer opportunities both on and off campus. Our alumni are so generous with their time and we are very grateful!
