College Culture
Our employees are the heart of our organization, each bringing a new sense of energy and passion for our students and community. For more than 35 years, PVCC has offered quality educational programs to residents who live and work in Northeast Phoenix and Northern Maricopa County. In 2009, we opened our second campus – Black Mountain – serving residents in the northern outskirts of the Valley. We offer more than 100 different associate degrees and certificate programs, serving more than 13,000 students each academic year.
PVCC’s constant aspirations to be one of the higher learning organizations of choice is reflected in our perseverance of creating engaging lifelong educational relationships that inspire and support all learners to increase their capacity for personal growth and positive social change. The college’s seven core values are a reflection of this. And our Puma Commitment to Opportunity is our pledge to each other – students, faculty, staff and community – to come together to engage, challenge, support and care, providing the opportunity for everyone to develop their full potential.
