Dr. Jennifer Miller

Dr. Jen Miller is committed to public higher education and values opportunities to collaborate and innovate to enhance equitable educational experiences. She worked at Cal State LA where she served as the Special Assistant to the Vice President for Student Life and AVP/Dean of Students. In her previous roles, she has promoted innovation, student development, equitable learning environments, collaborations, and robust co-curricular engagement opportunities. Dr. Miller came to Cal State LA from CSU Channel Islands (CI), where she was the Director of Student Affairs Assessment, Research, and Staff Development. While at CI, she led strategic planning, assessment, and staff training for the Division of Student Affairs. Prior to her tenure at CI, she served as the Director of the WELL (Wellbeing, Empowerment, Life, Learning) Office at UC Riverside and oversaw residential education programs and initiatives at the University of Michigan. Dr. Miller holds a Ph.D. in education from Claremont Graduate University, an MA from the University of Michigan, and a BA from Oberlin College.
