Students who are not eligible for the Presidents’ Honors Scholarship may be eligible for the Honors Achievement Award. The Honors Achievement Award (HAA) is a participation-based scholarship that is awarded at the END of the semester, only after the successful completion of ALL the following HAA requirements. This means the HAA is a reimbursement scholarship awarded only after you’ve met all participation, enrollment, and academic requirements for the semester.

In order to be eligible to participate in a semester, you must:

  • Hold a minimum cumulative Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) district-wide GPA of 3.25 or higher.
  • Enroll in 6+ credit hours at any MCCCD campus.
  • Complete a PVCC Honors class or complete an Honors Contract for a regular PVCC class, and earn a C or higher in that class.
  • Participate in at least one co-curricular event during the semester and write a 250-word reflection on the experience.
  • Show Legal presence in the United States and be eligible to receive public funds.

If all eligibility requirements are met, a student qualifies for the following scholarship amount, which is based on the number of MCCCD credit hours the student is enrolled in for the semester.
